Consumer Privacy Policy Information

Bank of Elmwood, Racine, Wisconsin understands that you, the consumer, expect customer information to be treated in an appropriate, confidential and professional manner. We respect your right to keep personal information secure from fraud and to avoid unwanted solicitations. We accept our responsibility to keep information accurate and safe. Therefore, Bank of Elmwood has adopted the following Consumer Privacy Policy to affirm our continued commitment to our customers regarding the proper use of customer information.

  • Bank of Elmwood recognizes that our customers expect us to collect and use customer information in an appropriate, responsible and professional manner. We collect and retain information primarily from three sources. They are directly from you and/or your application, from credit bureaus and other consumer reporting agencies (i.e. Chex System) and from your transactions with Bank of Elmwood.
  • Bank of Elmwood will collect, retain and use information about customers when we believe it is necessary or useful in operating our business and to make available products, services and other opportunities that Bank of Elmwood believes may be of interest to you, our customer.
  • Bank of Elmwood will strive to ensure that the customer information we maintain is accurate, current and complete. We have also established procedures to respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.
  • Employees access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those employees with a business reason to know such information. Bank of Elmwood employees are trained to understand the importance of this privacy policy and the confidentiality of our customers' information. Bank of Elmwood has set forth a separate policy in its Employee Guidebook, which reiterates this policy as to the disciplinary measures to ensure employee compliance.
  • Bank of Elmwood maintains security standards and procedures regarding unauthorized access to customer information.
  • It is the policy of Bank of Elmwood that we do not share customer information with unaffiliated or unrelated companies except to operate our business, comply with applicable laws and regulations, protect against fraud or make available products, services or other opportunities that we believe may be of interest to our customers.
  • Should Bank of Elmwood contract with an unaffiliated company to perform specific services for Bank of Elmwood that may require us to provide them access to customer information, we will require that such companies maintain the confidentiality of our customer's information.

As it relates to former customers, Bank of Elmwood will treat retained records and information in the same manner and fashion as it does for its current customers. Where the word "customer" is used, "former customer" may be substituted.

The Bank of Elmwood respects your right to privacy. We believe our practices safeguard information about you and protect you from unwanted communications, and we understand you may still want to further limit our sharing and use of information. To bar us from sharing with companies certain information about you (i.e..
